Description

These paleo chocolate-covered dough bites are little bites of bliss! Made with almond flour, cocoa, almond butter, and maple syrup, then dipped in dark chocolate for a perfect snap. They’re sweet, satisfying, and a healthy treat you'll want to make again and again!

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl or food processor combine the almond flour, arrowroot flour and cocoa powder.
  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients, leaving out the dark chocolate, and mix well until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Place dough in between two pieces of baking paper and wrap in plastic wrap. Transfer to the fridge and let chill for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Roll dough into small balls, approx the size of ping pong balls.
  5. On medium heat, bring a saucepan of water to the boil. Break dark chocolate into uniform size pieces and melt in a glass bowl over the saucepan of boiling water, stirring regularly. Once melted, take off heat and add olive oil to chocolate, mixing well.
  6. Using a toothpick or skewer, pick up dough ball and cover with melted chocolate. Transfer to baking paper lined plate or tray. Repeat with remaining balls and transfer tray to fridge for approx 20 minutes.
  7. Once chocolate is hardened store in airtight container for up to 4 days, or freeze to keep longer.
