Description

This vinegar-free hot sauce lets habanero and lime shine! Bold, zesty, and made with just five ingredients, it’s pure pepper power in a bottle. Perfect for those who like their heat clean and citrusy!

Ingredients
  • 12 habanero chili peppers (or any other hot chili peppers such as jalapenos)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 3 tbsp agave syrup
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup water
Instructions
  1. Wearing gloves, wash and remove stems from chili peppers. For a milder sauce, remove seeds as well. Roughly chop chili peppers.

  2. Peel garlic cloves and roughly chop.
  3. Add all ingredients to a food processor and blend for approx 2 minutes, or until smooth. If needed, add more water until you achieve a sauce-like consistency.
  4. Transfer to a sterilized airtight container or jar. Store in fridge for up to 2 weeks.

Heat-treating your hot sauce may help increase its shelf life. In a pan, add hot sauce and cook over a medium high heat until it reaches a temperature of 82°C/180°F for a few minutes. Transfer to a sterilized jar while still hot.
